New study cycle for 2024-25

The Departments of Economics, Business Administration and International and European Studies, of the School of Economics, Business and International Studies of the University of Piraeus announce the start of the application submission period for the MSc programme “Master in Law and Economics”:

“Master in Law and Economics”, full-time, duration: 3 semesters

 This Master’s programme accepts holders of a Bachelor’s degree from either Greek or equivalent foreign higher education institutions. Candidates’ evaluation and selection is based on specific, defined criteria, a personal interview with a committee of faculty members, and the criteria outlined in the programme’s regulatory document.

Those intending to apply must, up until 13/5/2024, submit the following documents to the programme’s secretariat, either by mail or electronically:

  1. Application form (in either electronic or physical form, the latter supplied by the programme’s secretariat).
  2. Detailed
  3. Copy of Bachelor’s diploma or certificate of completion of studies *
  4. Analytical scorecard (i.e. the document that displays a separate grade for each course completed), which also displays the overall grade with which the diploma was
  5. Certificate of knowledge of the English, French or German languages. This is a prerequisite for A certificate is defined in this context as a language qualification document that is recognised by the Greek Supreme Staff Selection Board (ASEP in Greek).
  6. Proof of professional experience (if applicable)
  7. Two letters of recommendation from university faculty members or senior business
  8. Publications in peer-reviewed journals (if applicable).
  9. Copy of an identification document (ID card or passport, front and back).

  11. Formal declaration (issued electronically via gov.gr/en or through certifying that the signature is original at a citizen service centre or police station in Greece) that the documents submitted by the candidate and attached to their folder are genuine.

* Students who have obtained a diploma from a university or technical institute outside Greece also need to submit one of the following:

  • A document recognising said diploma from the Interdisciplinary Organization for the Recognition of Academic Titles and Information (DOATAP in Greek) of the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and
  • A copy of their diploma, in order to check whether the institution issuing it is included in the national registries of recognised foreign institutions and of types of diplomas issued by foreign

 

If the student has studied, in whole or in part, within Greek territory, a diploma issued by a foreign institution cannot be recognised, except if part of their studies took place in a Greek higher education institution.

Any and all documents not submitted electronically must be sent or otherwise deposited to the secretariat of the Department of Business Administration of the University of Piraeus in two copies. Document no. 5 in the above list must be verified either by the issuing authority or a lawyer.
